Just a couple of weeks ago, we reported that the CDC has been discussing "quarantine camps" to contain those at risk for COVID-19. Not many days later, we stumbled upon a harrowing fact: COVID quarantine "facilities" have already been created, and they're popping up here in America. Plus, they're hiring. Where Are These Facilities? We first began looking into reports of these facilities after we caught wind of a job offer in Centralia, WA, which is pictured on the map above. The job title was an "Isolation & Quarantine Strike Team Consultant." The job was supposedly listed on governmentjobs.com. Therefore, we went to the site to confirm its validity. By simply searching "quarantine" on the site, however, we found not one, but three job listings for positions at these Washington "quarantine facilities." Oddly, none of the positions were being hired from the same location. Here's a list of all the jobs we found, and the locations where they are positioned:
If you would like to look further into any one of these job listings, click on them above and you will be taken directly to their original listings. The photo that was have shared below is grainy, but it comes directly from the Washington State Health Care Authority's Facebook. The purpose of the photo is to define the difference between "isolation" and "quarantine." As you can see from the job titles above, these facilities cater to both. The photo acknowledges this, and tells people that they may be quarantined in a state facility. While investigating the Centralia listing, we found some more details about the facility itself. According to the listing, the facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Workers are told to be prepared to work all three different shifts plus overtime in order to accomodate the needs of the isolated. The facility was created for non-Washington residents that were exposed to COVID-19 and did not have a place to quarantine. The facility is also in a motel. See below: Screenshots from the job listing. Another facility that was green-lit here in America is in Lima, Ohio, where the town plans to build quarantine facilities to contain the homeless. Meanwhile, in some not-so-free countries overseas, humongous and expensive quarantine facilities are being built. China announced a "Camp Covid" recently, which is a massive containment center that cost $360 million. The camp can hold 5,000 people at once, and robots will deliver residents their food. Credit to Daily Mail Australia, Thailand, and other countries have also adopted the "COVID quarantine facilities" idea. We are continuing to monitor the creation of COVID camps in the US.
