Credit to NBC News Article by Haddon Lockyer On Friday, Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor and Senate candidate John Fetterman suffered a stroke caused by blood clots. Fetterman had been feeling ill, and his wife had encouraged him to go to the emergency room. After being checked by doctors, Fetterman was informed that the stroke had been caused by a blood clot in his heart. The clot had been causing his heart to beat "in an A-fib rhythm for too long." On Friday afternoon, Fetterman released a statement from Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, saying that the doctors at Penn Medicine had prevented any major damage. "The amazing doctors here were able to quickly and completely remove the clot, reversing the stroke, they got my heart under control as well." Fetterman also released a video about his condition on his Twitter account. He was told to remain in hospital through the end of the weekend. News of Fetterman's stroke comes as some question a possible correlation between the recent uptick of blood clot-related incidents and the mass distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine last year. Just over a week ago, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that they would be putting strict limits on the distribution of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine because of blood clot concerns. Fetterman announced in April that he and his entire family had been vaccinated and boosted. Fetterman has maintained his desire to win Pennsylvania's Senate seat this November, despite this incident. Even without physical complications, Fetterman has quite a challenge ahead of him if he wants to claim victory. In the GOP, celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz (who has Trump's endorsement), and veteran Kathy Barnette, are vying for the seat. In his own party, Fetterman is facing off against Malcolm Kenyatta, Conor Lamb, and Alexandria Khalil. For more election coverage, visit our Election H.Q. page. We can’t cheer and celebrate like the left did when Republicans would get Covid

Hope he recovers. I recall reading something a few years ago about him being a good guy, and Braddock is not an easy part of Pittsburgh to call home, so I respect him for that. I disagree with him on almost every political topic, but oh well.

He also does not look typically healthy. Not ruling out the vax but we should also remember strokes happened way before this vaccine.

Better keep forcing people to take the safe and effective clot shot.

Well, as much as I hope he doesn't win election, I hope he gets well soon.

From his press release it says that he expects a full recovery, so it looks like he'll be OK.

He's also got a mass on the back of his neck on the right side. He's wearing hoodies to try to cover it up. I'm thinking he may have brain cancer and a stent is causing the swelling. That might explain the stroke. Did he even have one?
