Kyle Rittenhouse has announced a lawsuit against LeBron James.
Rittenhouse, the 19-year-old who found himself under attack for defending himself from three violent rioters during a 2020 BLM protest, was mocked by LeBron James on Twitter multiple times during his trial. Rittenhouse was in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on August 25th, 2020, when a BLM riot broke out. Rittenhouse was downtown, preparing to offer medical aid to whoever may have needed it, when he was attacked by three white males. Rittenhouse, who was armed, fired at the rioters, killing two of the three. Immediately after the event, mainstream media networks and celebrities began bashing Rittenhouse, falsely slandering him as a "white supremacist." James was one of the celebrities. Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges regarding the incident on November 19th, 2021. He has since been making the media rounds, promising to hold those who slandered him accountable. On February 22nd, while on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Rittenhouse announced "The Media Accountability Project," which will strive to do just that -- hold media figures and celebrities accountable. On Tuesday, however, Rittenhouse took it a step further. While talking with Drew Hernandez, host of Frontlines, Rittenhouse said "He'll [James] be getting a letter too." "He'll be getting a letter, too. Anybody who defamed me, or lied about me, we're just gonna send them a letter and then deal with them in a courtroom."
