Anheuser-Busch has let go of the two pro-trans marketing executives responsible for the Bud Light/Dylan Mulvaney controversy, which has cost the company billions of dollars over just a short period of time.
According to text messages from a current regional head of marketing obtained by the Daily Caller, both Group Vice President for Marketing Daniel Blake and Bud Light Marketing Vice President Alissa Heinerscheid are "gone gone." According to the marketer, Anheuser-Busch chose to place Blake and Heinerscheid on a "leave of absence" instead of firing them to avoid a lawsuit. However, the employee revealed that the pair won't be returning to work for the company. “To my understanding if we publicly announced the word ‘fire’ it opens up the potential for them to sue us. Thats why we said leave of absence."

The source inside the company went on to say that concerned wholesalers have been informed that the leave is permanent. “Wholesalers were told they are both gone for good by leadership during in person conversations. They already shifted all their direct reports to new people and the head of marketing."
In late April, news broke that Heinerscheid and Blake had been placed on leave. At first, Anheuser-Busch refused to confirm the news, but eventually acknowledged the reports, telling the Wall Street Journal:
"Given the circumstances, Alissa has decided to take a leave of absence, which we support. Daniel has also decided to take a leave of absence.”
The backlash against Bud Light came after the company, under Heinerscheid's direction, partnered with Dylan Mulvaney, a biological male who has grown a following online by claiming to have transitioned into a woman. Bud Light sent Mulvaney a personalized can with his picture on the side, which he filmed and posted on TikTok. The move led to a conservative-led boycott of the brand, with prominent figures like Travis Tritt and Kid Rock joining in. Bud Light saw a large drop in sales as a result: The brand lost its spot as the top-selling beer in America earlier this month.
