Arizona officially sued the Biden administration Tuesday over Biden's new vaccine mandates which force both private sector and federal employees to vaccinate or test for COVID-19 weekly. In the lawsuit, the state claimed that the vaccine mandate is unconstitutional because the administration has refused to enforce any similar requirements at the southern border, where thousands of illegal immigrants are entering the country on a daily basis. AZ Republican Attorney General Mark Brnovich released a statement Tuesday claiming that the new mandates reflect the Biden administration's "unmistakable" favoritism of illegals at the border over American citizens. Brnovich has been one of the head leaders over the lawsuit. “The federal government cannot force people to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The Biden Administration is once again flouting our laws and precedents to push their radical agenda. There can be no serious or scientific discussion about containing the spread of COVID-19 that doesn’t begin at our southern border.” The Arizona lawsuit is the first of many expected to come from Republican states who have expressed anger over the mandates. The illegals at the southern border are not the only groups exempt from Biden's policies. U.S. Postal Service employees and members of Congress are also exempt, further concreting the concerns of many Americans about the government's "rules for me but not for thee" that are leading to an overreach in their power.
