NYT Reporter Caught On Camera Saying There Were "A Ton Of FBI Informants" At Capitol On Jan. 6th3/9/2022 Credit to Reuters Article by Haddon Lockyer On Tuesday, undercover journalists at Project Veritas published a video of Matthew Rosenberg, the New York Times's national security correspondent, making several shocking claims about the January 6th riot at the Capitol building. Project Veritas has become well-known for their undercover videos, which are recorded secretly while Veritas journalists talk to top media officials, who often reveal corruption at their companies, unaware of the cameras that are rolling. In this newest video, Rosenberg ranted about how the media has, in his opinion, extremely exaggerated the protests in Washington D.C. in January of 2021. He exclaimed that he is "so over" the drummed-up coverage. He said: "It's like Jan. 6 stuff, but it's like I'm so over it at this point. I'm so over it." He later mocked his colleagues who have claimed that they were in serious danger at the protest. He said that they "were outside and were just having fun." "Dude, come on, like, you [NYT staff] were not in any danger [at Jan 6]." Eventually, the conversation shifted, and Rosenberg confirmed that "there were a ton of FBI informants" at the Capitol that day. "There were a ton of FBI informants among the people who attacked the Capitol." Despite all these statements, Rosenberg betrayed his personal opinions to write "The Next Big Lies: Jan. 6 Was No Big Deal, or a Left-Wing Plot" for the New York Times. This article was published around the same time Project Veritas secretly recorded this conversation with Rosenberg. WATCH: Rosenberg's statements come as dozens sit in federal prison for doing nothing more than walking into the Capitol and taking pictures during the protest.
