On Wednesday, a large oak tree fell on the governor's mansion in Tallahassee, Florida, as Hurricane Idalia continues to ravage the Sunshine State.
The mansion, which is home to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his family, saw damage from the 100-year-old tree. DeSantis's wife, Casey, shared a photo of the damage along with a message to her followers on the social media network X. She stated that while she and the DeSantis children were in the mansion at the time of the tree's collapse, no one was injured. She wrote: "100 year old oak tree falls on the Governor’s Mansion in Tallahassee — Mason, Madison, Mamie and I were home at the time, but thankfully no one was injured. Our prayers are with everyone impacted by the storm."
