Credit to ABC News Tomorrow, two more states will vote in the primaries for their midterm candidates - Nebraska and West Virginia. These races will again be a test of former President Donald Trump's influence on the GOP. In last week's Ohio/Indiana primaries, all 22 of Trump's candidates won their races. Here's everything you need to know about Tuesday's primaries:
It is important to note that just because a candidate is Trump-backed doesn't mean that they will do the best job at furthering the conservative movement. For example, Trump recently endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz for the U.S. Senate via Pennsylvania, upsetting many of his followers. Oz hasn't had the most conservative background, after all. Credit to WTOV 9 Something else to watch is W.V.'s governor race. On Sunday, Trump endorsed incumbent Jim Jordan for the position, again going against many conservatives who have complained about Justice's unconstitutional actions during the COVID-19 pandemic. In some cases, it seems as though Trump is losing touch with his base... the base that he needs if he wants to win in 2024. However, W.V. and Nebraska will show just how much of his base will support his endorsements, even when they believe them to be wrong. We will be reporting on the outcomes of the primaries tomorrow as results come in.
