Credit to NBC News Article by Haddon Lockyer HBO's "Real Time" host Bill Maher has tested positive for COVID-19... after being fully vaccinated. HBO announced Friday that Maher "feels fine," but that they have decided to halt the taping of his show, "Real Time," until further notice. “Bill tested positive during weekly staff PCR testing for COVID. He is fully vaccinated and as a result is asymptomatic and feels fine. ‘Real Time’ production has taken every precaution following COVID CDC guidelines. No other staff or crew members have tested positive at this time. The show will be rescheduled at a later date." No other members of the show's crew have tested positive at this time. However, Maher is not the only celebrity to have tested positive after being vaccinated. Eight members of the New York Yankees have now tested positive after being fully vaccinated. Maher is on his 19th season as show host. Despite thousands of Americans testing positive after being vaccinated, the CDC says that it is no big deal. Their wedbsite reads: “COVID-19 vaccines are effective and are a critical tool to bring the pandemic under control. However no vaccines are 100% effective at preventing illness. There will be a small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated who still get sick, are hospitalized, or die from COVID-19." Maher's positive test comes as more Americans have died from the COVID-19 vaccine than died during the September 11, 2001, according to the CDC.
