Four Vaccine Sites in the US Pause Distribution of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine after Adverse Reactions4/12/2021 Credit to CNBC Article by Haddon Lockyer Georgia is home to the most recent site to cease distribution. Sites in Colorado, North Carolina, and Iowa have halted the vaccine along with Georgia due to large amounts of adverse reaction happening after people received the vaccine. Of the 435 people who received the vaccine, close to 2% experienced adverse reactions. That's higher than the COVID-19 death rate. Dave Palmer, North Georgia Health Dept. spokesperson claimed that it was a "fainting issue," and that the reactions were most-likely caused by "environmental factors." However, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has led to many adverse reactions, including death. Johnson & Johnson themselves made a statement to FOX 31 that they would be "collecting the necessary information" to ensure that the vaccine is safe. There is no greater priority than the safety and well-being of the people we serve, and we carefully review reports of adverse events in individuals receiving our medicines and vaccines. This is part of the established process to inform health authorities’ comprehensive surveillance programs that monitor the overall safety of medicines, as well the vaccines authorized for use against this pandemic. We will continue to monitor reactions to these vaccines right here on our Vaxx Watch page.
